Now we shall see if any transfer requests pop up, and if McDowell wants to get out of his NLI. Will be interesting to see if their Aussie wants out of his NLI as well.

Interesting tweet from Embody in there about SMU's concerns of on court success vs total program success NCAA appearances/AAC titles vs NCAA sanctions, going to class, and APR. The sanctions were very public, the other two, while speculated a lot, no one had really reported it. Time to start a pool...how many years until Jankovich has Pony basketball in the tank again? Over/under is 4. Tank defined as not finishing in the top 5 of conference. Anyone can load up on cupcakes in non-conference and win 20 games by going .500 in conference. Ask DW how that one is achieved.

Three to five, 4 is probably a safe bet.

Jankowski? Didn't he coach for us once? Dean Blevins said so.

How long until Shake shake shake shakes out of town?

IMO SMU's problem is they will be watched very closely by the NCAA now. A small army of investigators at their door ready to jump on the program is not a good thing for any program. The least little infraction or the least little indiscretion from a 20 year old kid and they'll be right back in front of the NCAA.

My smu buddy doesn't think Jank can hold it together.
There will be repercussions from Brown leaving alright, but not not so much on the
BB court...Not at least for a while, anyway.....I can see the automatic sell-outs going away,
much as when we lost Self....It won't be quite the social status thing to be there that it was
under Brown.....They will still be playing good BB in a good conference, and a lot of people
will still be interested in watching....

Jank was a good recruiter in the MVC, and he should do OK in that respect, although in the
short run, they have a young, talented team on board already, and it might be tough to recruit
to a "full house" for a couple of years...On the other hand, with the NCAA looking over their
shoulders, the recruiting might have to be conducted under 'slightly' different "rules" than it
had been under "probation" Brown....

Changes? Yes....But not the implosion some have predicted.....They will still be at or near the
top of the conference.......
