Good for Kyler. I think he should see what he can get from the A's. Smart move on his part. If they can't reach a deal, an NFL team will probably give him a signing bonus that would be equivalent to or possibly more than what the A's are willing to offer.
Word is that the $15 Million figure is not accurate and that an actual dollar amount wasn't discussed. Anyone's guess though.
A's would put Murray on 40 man roster, he'll get to skip the whole process of going through the farm system.
Murray may need a year or two of minor league development.
I saw issues last June when Murray went so high in the baseball draft. Now it appears the A's will lose him to football.
That may be true having Murray on the 40 man roster. But that may not be good for him or the A's.
