For questioning and opening up the conversation about the lack of support for basketball at the state level.

Is it true the state spent 80 milliom for a Philly practice facility.....UNBELIEVABLE.

NOW....give Jordan some time....lol

Re: Kuddos to BAC

Yes, tremendous job, bac. Great first step to try to put some pressure on the BOG.

Hope this gets the ball rolling.

Re: Kuddos to BAC

Lesniak actually started the conversation tweeting a deflated crumpled basketball. We need this dialogue. Usually I am against any negative attention brought toward RU but the Sargeant article was fair and did not take any gruituitous shots at Julie. The fact is this problem has to be dealt...too bad if its tough on Barchi and the BOG that they have to deal with it because its something that has been swept under the rug for 25 years. The basketball fans who about 99% of also are huge football fans have been crapped for years. Its time that we get heard. The fact that Lesniak is talking about it and its being reported on it is only good news. I know some will disagree. Let your voices be heard on twitter. Let your congressmen know that you care about this subject.

I love the idea of a Twitter campaign to get more attention. We need long suffering fans to join in and let our voices be heard.

We need a creative Twitter handle. Any ideas? What's the best Hashtag???

Awesome awesome job...

Polilits article have us a forum
And now we have a second article carrying the cpnversation
With lesinsck involved

We need to keep the pressure up

It is so obvious what needs to be done...let
The school borrow the money while cheap to pay back with athletic revenues

The political pressure needs to be made hot and heavy ..:.the BOG/barchi will glad to go for it they have Trenton's blessing

I have been in his office in the past. His assistant helped me with a problem about 3 or 4 years ago. Maybe I will stop in again.

BAC to replace Barchi as Rutgers University school president.

You heard it here, first.

(Good job, Bac. Now FINISH the deal!
We'll name the new chicken finger stand after you once this is done.)

It's ironic isn't it, lol. Well if he's going to do it sparingly make it count. Much better bang for your buck (tweet), than what you had for breakfast this morning.

Bravo BAC! And bravo to Lesniak and Keith for opening up the can of worms that needed to be opened years and years ago. The stupidity of Barchi and Christie disgusts me. Money is cheap. We're in the freakin' B1G. Borrow the damn money against future earnings NOW! Get the damn thing done NOW! The new facilities will more than pay themselves because it's an investment into Rutgers future.

The politics in NJ has always kept the self-loathing state from properly addressing the gem that is Rutgers University. Stop the nonsense and make the athletic department up to par with our B1G brethren. I am so tired of the provincial stupidity that has gone on in NJ for decades. Stop putting little band aids on problems that need open heart surgery.

Great job by BAC and the other Knight to hopefully SHAME Barchi, Christie and yes even the BOG and get them all off their political agenda asses and get this done!

Let's see if Lesniak backs up his bluster with action. He has a ton of political power & resources to raise $ so he should be able to move things if he sticks out his neck.

bac,

Just a joke. They dared me to post in this thread, didn't they ? Maybe you should blame them for putting me up to it ?

Truth be told, in spite of some differences of opinion among us, I respect both you and Nuts for your contributions to the RU message boards and as long time RU sports fans. Although I've never met Nuts I have met you and your brother at a few RU BB games and all was well. Could it be that I'm a nicer guy in real life than I am on these boards ? Something for me to think about.
