KU would whip our *** and probably only have 1 loss if they had our schedule.

Losing to Texas, that makes him a perfect candidate for Nebraska. Getting owned by Texas is a tradition here.

Jeff Monken, c'mon down.
I have nothing against Monken but with the $, facilities, fan base and tradition if that is who they get it will be somewhat of a disappointment. Not saying he can’t or won’t do a good job but would definitely be somewhat of an underwhelming hire.

Robinson can break the single game rushing record today if Texas wants him to.

I really hope today's game ends the push for LL. I doubt it will though.
He'd be an ok fall back candidate. He would produce winning seasons at Nebraska which is more than we've seen in a long time. Definitely hope it is a kiffin or rhule type though

Would be a tell Trev struck out. No bueno, but I suppose 6-6 with bowl game is better than what we've known here for too many years now...

Same feeling about Monken and Campbell.

LMAO @ the scrambling being done.
Who cares, Let Trev hire him. Apparently there's no "home run" hire so let the new experiment in futility begin. This is beyond old. Only thing I want to see is competitiveness, growth as a team and maybe just maybe, if we get a guy or 2, a run at something.
Beyond that, this program is dead.

Kansas was outclassed in talent and that much was obvious. Never claimed Leipold was a miracle worker, but he's a damn good coach. Certainly ahead of Rhule for me.

What other coaches have/are lost/losing tonight? Liberty? Mississippi? Wonder if there is a coach at a smaller school that is an up and comer to turn things around?

The crap shoot continues. How about the Tulane coach? Next weeks a big one as he goes against the Fighting Fickell's. How about another Oregon State coach?

South Dakota State, Montana State, Sac State, might they supply the next HC and staff? ;)

Montana State won by 30 today and are 10-1. …..

I actually would be open this if he brought in elite assistants. We need a rough neck adult dad figure to overhaul this culture top to bottom.

Fickell is the guy we need, he'd turn us into one of the toughest teams in the Big Ten. Would probably have to offer him $10 million/year for him to even pick up the phone.

If you read Sherman’s last article it’s going to be Leipold. Hope they hire a good DC
Just like Sipple, Sherman threw out his deep, logical ā€œwhataboutismā€ in regards to Leipold.

I know in my earlier post on this thread (and in other threads) that I may have come across as a Leipold hater. I actually really like what he’s done at Buffalo and Kansas. I just don’t see Lance happening here.

Lance Leipold is considered to be one of the best college football coaches in the history of the game (#78 on ESPN’s top 150 list from 2019). His team got beat today, but for people to think that this Nebraska job is too good for him is asinine.
