Exactly, NCcard fan. What we want is a national seed. Aren't there only eight of them?
Here is what our chances may be. We are #5 going into this week. The 3 top teams were unbeaten and #4 FSU lost one. It's the teams behind us that threaten to overtake us that we need to be concerned about.
#6 CalPoly lost one.
#7 Ok State was 3-0 and have 13 total losses. Threat #1
#8 LSU lost one of two for a total of 14.
#9 Oregon was 2-3; total =16
#10 Vandy was 2-2; total = 14
#11 Florida was 1-3; total = 18
#12 South Carolina was 4-0; total is 13 Threat #2
#13 Washington was 4-0; total is 11 Threat #3
#19 Indiana was 3-0; total is 12 Threat #4.
In other words, the IU game now looms large. If they end up with fewer losses and beat us three times, our chances for a national seed will be severely diminished.
