Exactly and it's really dumb. We want our next coach to lose at some point, otherwise why would they leave if they could win a national title where they're currently at? This seems to be the minimum standard of some fans based on their comments.

That is poor coaching. Lane Kiffin is all hype. Feasts on the subpar teams and consistently loses against ranked competition.
I kinda feel the same way. I also feel like the SEC is his "ceiling", or whatever word I'm looking for. I think he would have a tough go of it in the BiG. Just a simple super uneducated opinion.
Nonsense. He is a good coach with a lot of good wins. And if having two 200 yard rushers in a game is poor coaching, I can’t wait until the days of that kind of poor coaching coming back to Lincoln.

he certainly isn’t on the same level as Urban Meyer, though and he gets lumped in as being an elite coach when he’s less accomplished than Klieman/Aranda

I think Kiffin is a tremendous offensive coach. Right up there with Lincoln Riley.
Ole Miss was severely overrated this season. You can either blame Kiffin for their fade down the stretch, or credit him for getting them to overachieve in the early part of the year.

why would I credit him for beating an FCS team, G5 teams, and a handful of P5 teams with losing records?
Dude has shown his ceiling, and it’s lower than Pelini’s. Worse winning %, worse record vs ranked teams, and worse bowl record.
Ole Miss is a good, not great, job. Not sure he walked into a program with enough horses to reasonably expect better than where he is currently at. Losing to your arch enemy is no crime like what happened yesterday. Lane may not be Saban, but who is. Lane would be our best coach since T.O.....without a doubt. Fans who don't think he is good enough for us remind me a dudes sitting behind their computer telling everyone an underwear model named Giselle isn't all that, while their wife (who is a 6 on her best day) are in the other room.
