Keyser announces retirement

Long time coach Dan Keyser has announced his retirement from education and coaching. He has currently been serving as Supt. at Sutherland and helped with football for the past several years. He is best known for his unbelievable run as HC at Cambridge throughout the 90's and early 00's winning 6 state titles and a 48 game winning streak (ended by none other than Sutherland). Dan gave me my first shot as a head coach of the Sailors and I will always be appreciative of the opportunity. Also, as many of you know he and our very own Huskerland Bob are Arnold high alums! A great man as well as a coach. I have a story of his kindness and help for me as a young, inexperienced coach as do many, many coaches in Nebraska. I am honored that my coaching path bumped into him once!

Cambridge was a force. That name still holds some clout. I’d love to see some 90’s Cambridge football films. They just crushed teams. Congrats to Coach!
