We are going to have a seriously talented PG position for years to come.

Joiner, Hill, and Williams next year to go along with Jackson, Embery and the other transfer (brain is not working) we are getting an upgrade in the back court. Need some front court skills and we will be a complete and DEEP team.

If you look at Haywood’s clips, we’re getting a steal.

He hit a cold shooting streak from 3, and lost his spot. Many within Ga Tech say Pastner jacked him up, and never game him a chance to regain his confidence.

He has a fantastic shooting stroke.

Pastner might be the gift that keeps on giving.

Hawyood is basically a guard version of Horne. He's got a smooth stroke from outside and can get hot from several feet behind the 3 point arc. The biggest difference is Haywood is probably a better passer / driver than Horne.

Is he as good of a defender/rebounder as Horne? If he’s close then we are going to have a stud

Haywood really isn't a post guy though he can grab some rebounds. No idea about his defense, but he doesn't seem like the type to bang inside to me. He had some injury issues at Tech during his Freshman year that made things hard for him. One good thing is that he's very careful with the ball. He averages nearly twice as many assists as turnovers.

@Bill Lowery.....Are we still recruiting Christian Shumate from Bloom? He seems
to fill up a stat sheet, and sounds like he is active on the inside.....

He’s still being recruited but the emphasis is on getting a big who can defend the rim and rebound. There’s a chance a slot will open up to allow a guy like Shumate to come in or a great shooter. We’re recruiting both shooters and bigs with Shumate being a junkyard dog type player. It’s always nice to have a guy like him.

There's the one recruit we got last year that I hope doesn't leave us. Wainwright

He really teaches. He’s firm, but not a jerk.
He (Wainwright) seems to have achieved emeritus status while he is still active....
Teaching the X's and O's is one thing...Getting the team, apparently to the last
man, to buy in to the degree they did is quite another.....Wow!

I'm a fan......

If there is any upside to KES and Haywood not being waivered this season, it
is that they have had a year's experience in learning our base defense before
starting varsity play....It is also possible that it will allow them to have an added
chance to participate in post-season play.....
