Kentucky walk-on Brian Long

I was looking at UK's roster and noticed they had a NJ player named Brian Long, who went to River Dell. Reading his bio it seems that he doesn't get many minutes, but more surprisingly didn't seem to have a noteworthy HS career. How in the world does he end up on that team?

He's there to help the graduation rate. It's a guarantee that he won't be one and done.
