Here comes the death threats....
UK is the only SEC school where basketball is bigger than football. Their fans still don't understand the nuances of the game. They cheer for their basketball team like its a football game. Overall-wearing rednecks shouting "Holding!" is quite a sight to behold at a basketball game.

C'mon we know Coach K and the NCAA paid big bucks to the biglead to fabricate this story! The only way Kentucky can be stopped is by colusions between Duke/The NCAA and the media! (Just wanted to beat them to it

I love this because I can just see the Kentucky fans foaming at the mouth over it! That said, championships, and Final Fours trump preseason and final season polls imo. Hardware talks, and polls (bs) walks. And finally the 'one and done' approach with it's rapid turnover is going to have it's downsides...we've seen a little of that with Duke.
Anyway, I'm all for making fun of Cal, and the Cat fans (goodness knows they deserve it), but I don't quite buy into this article.

Robert Morris and 38-1 says it all IMO! That 38-1 team would have had more losses if the teams they were playing close just made their free throws. ND had them beat in the elite eight. Free throws killed them at the end. Ole miss and a&m would have beaten the 38-1 team if they had just made free throws.
Well this has to be one of the best pieces of research and reporting ever done.....and absolutely one of my favorites threads ever posted in this board!!! We love getting the one and dones. I do too, but I think a team still must have a few good upperclassmen. I'll take a really good junior and senior any day of the week. I wouldnt feel as good about this Duke team if Grayson wasn't on it. Matter of fact, I wouldn't trade him for Kennard or Frank Jackson.

I went to the national championship game that year and there were still uk fans at the game. It was hilarious. I saw an older couple there and the guy was wearing a Duke shirt with the D and E crossed out. What a jerk and during the pep rally for Wisconsin there were uk fans attending it. And the best part other than Duke winning the national championship of course was when they announced Cal’s name for hall of fame induction at halftime. That whole stadium just lit up in Boo’s. It was priceless!
I was there with a buddy also and was just talking about that this weekend. Couldnt happen to a classier group.
There were grown men there at Lucas oil stadium who were Kentucky fans in tears after Wisconsin sent them home lol.
Bought tickets from a crying UK couple. $200 total for 4 of the lowest level. Was so happy.
My mother in law was here at my house watching that game. She is a HUGE uk fan. I absolutely love her to death and I could see how crushed she was. I tried so hard not to take a little jab......and daggone it, it slipped out anyway!!!
It's all about gettig the most clicks. It's all about writing something that gets the attention of others. I guess it's doing just that....
Having just went to the KY vs. Centre exhibition last night, I didn't see a single person in overalls.
I did, however, immediately feel like I was walking into the lions den as a Duke fan entering Rupp Arena, tho.
