Is it possible that Cal is so "Ho-Hum" with the whole KBJ situation because he saw him on campus and realized that the fair "man" was not a good fit with the extremely talented "kids" we have and that chemistry and overall mental fortitude was a higher priority! Not to mention I think Sestina is as mature and overall better skilled for this particular team with his ability to stretch the floor! We need space not simply space eaters for the electric slashers and ball handlers we wil put on the floor at any given time!

No, he fits. Can't have everyone going nuts over the fact Cal, Justus, etc....followed him on Social Media and then turn around and act like the visit was horrible.

I've seen more analysis of Cal's walk to the plane "swaggy" to "defeated" to explain how this is going. It's going like it has for every other team involved.

Is this your way of saying “You didn’t want him anyway?”

It’s always funny when fans try to rationalize that a player may not just want to come here.

Ah yes. The ol' "What do you mean you don't want us? We never wanted you in the first place."

Not sure but Cal does get a feel for a kid that wants to be here and if Blackshear has doubts I’m not sure that Cal will try to change his mind.

He's a great fit for us. Just not sure if we're a great fit for him. It's crowded on the frontcourt. Plus him considering the UT pitch of featuring him like Williams tells you he has at least some interest in being featured.

What if Cal is luke warm on KB because he thinks it might demoralize EJ and NR? I know, there's the argument that these guys need to suck it up and compete. What if Cal knows they won't respond well? Then what does he do? These two ARE on the team and we need them at their best, whatever that is. Plus, Cal is a loyal guy and EJ, NR came back to the program. That's a tough choice to make.

It's my understanding that Cal's sells pitch to recruits is unlike other coaches. He guarantees them nothing except hard work, and his goal of getting them to the next level. If he did that during Blackshear's visit, it was totally different from what he and his family heard on his other visits. It would explain to me why the visit appeared to not go well. Cal had plans to leave for the nba draft and he left them with his assistant coaches to complete their visit. Hopefully, Blackshear will rethink all that has transpired and choose Kentucky. Kerry Blackshear and Kentucky are a perfect match for each other.
