Welcome to the SEC.
I think he's going to love the one of a kind AWESOME officiating in the SEC. Ha ! :joy:
He will be like Williams. Untouchable at home .
Every SEC big man is incapable of fouling at home unless they have Kentucky across their chest.
Yes, 2 for each million he just potentially lost. We're going to have a million threads about this now, aren't we?
I disagree. Florida was the worst choice for us. Decent team coming back and you add him to the 5th and 20th ranked players in the class. They should be a very good team by the end of the season.better choice than Tenn or Ark but could have done better for himself at Va Tech or UK
We will see. Wasn't really commenting on what was the best for UK. Commenting this kid turned his future pro life to UF.I disagree. Florida was the worst choice for us. At Tennessee he gets his points but not much to help them, same at Arkansas. Va tech will be average also. He helps Florida the most.
Agree with that.We will see. Wasn't really commenting on what was the best for UK. Commenting this kid turned is future pro life to UF.
Florida will most certainly be in the race. The SEC race for #1 in CBB is going to be fun watch this year. Word up to Blackshear, you are not on a team in the race,
I don't think they are hating on the pick. I've seen a lot worse voicing of criticism on the matter. It's the trend toward not getting that 'difference maker' type recruit. Anymore, it seems the elite recruits are using UK as a springboard to the national recruiting spotlight, but they're going elsewhere. It's a little bit of everything. Nike. LeBron James. Recruiting staff possibly not being as strong as in the past. Situations like the Skal one, the 2015 season ending, other teams capitalizing on the number of elite recruits we've had versus NCAA Tournament success, coaches forcing players out in order to attract better players. And, now the state of California has gotten the ball rolling with a plan to make sure student athletes get paid. Another one is that Cal is an INTENSE coach who, though his track record of developing players is second to none, today's generation of softies would rather play for a coach who can still win games but won't scream and wave his arms half of the game. Having said that, I am disappointed with our run in the past ten years in terms of on the court success, but I am proud of the way Calipari has represented the University of Kentucky. Not sure why people are hating on his pick. Close to home, no one to compete with for playing time, and Florida just brought in a pretty solid recruiting class. Gators are going to be really tough.
lot of people are badly heart broken here ............ acting like the kid was ours for like the last 6-7 weeks and idolizing him.. ouch.
I’m just happy he didn’t go to UT. Honestly I never Liked our chances. I feel like he was the kind of guy to put us over the top same as wiseman but we ll see if cal can pull off his best coaching job. He hasn’t it in him
No grad transfer is ever going to put a program over the top. Reid Travis was probably the closest one we will ever see. When a guy has played 3 years of college ball and can't make the league.. he really just isn't that good.
Everytime we miss on a recruit some always have to downplay him and act like we didn't need him.We don't have a proven frontcourt scorer on this team.EJ and Nick were lost last seasonand I expect improvement but who knows how much.No margin for error at all now.We ll grad transfers were big for Texas tech last year and for a team lacking senior experience it could be a huge difference maker. Blackshear as a 6-10” man he would have been a physical presence who can score. A player we don’t have. He wasn’t a make or break player rather a make player. We still have a good team but with blackshear we would be next level next season. Two skilled seniors to rotate in the paint. You can’t overlook the impact of having blackshear.
