buried in the Hines article on Wichita was the nugget that TU-KSU play in downtown Wichita next year, in Reynolds in 2018 and in Manhattan in 2019, a 1-1-1. This is smart scheduling.

Wish we would more like this!

Count me as one Shocker fan that will be pulling for Tulsa.
KState won't play the Shockers. I hope you guys rout 'em.
OTOH, kudos to KState for scheduling games in Wichita for their KSU alumnus. Something KU won't do, even though KU plays numerous games in KC every year.

I know Kansas plays several games
@ the Sprint center in KC each yr.
In fact, didn't TU sign a 1-1-1 contract
w/ Kansas a few yrs back w/ one of those
games @ the Sprint center?

W/ Tulsa playing them Hawgs in f-ball next yr.
U'd hope TU AD Gregg got some type of
B-ball home & home deal

IMHO, all those solo $$$ one f-ball game deals
that TU AD Gregg has been contracting
for the f-ball team
I don't see why he can't also negotiate
a b-ball home & home w/ those schools too.

A negotiation is a give and take.

If your main goal is max $ then you do not have much leverage in other areas.

I actually like the "neutral site" concept if it doesn't favor one team over the other. But lets encourage those shocker fans to wear blue that night. I guess it will be in Intrust Bank Arena which seats 15,000. So we'll need a lot of WSU fans to help us out. Is there a date and time?

Arkansas had a home and home against Tulsa in BB a few years back. It may have even been 2-2 with a Fayetteville FB game thrown in. We won one in Fayetteville under John Phillips I believe but lost one at home before that. Before that we had several home and home games with Arkansas, unfortunately not winning many.

I don't think Mike Anderson is too keen on playing TU, same issue as Self.

He needs to get over that. Both schools need butts in seats. Same thing with OU.

When football is part of a deal, baskteball suddenly loses some input. If UA is looking for a quality home game that is also winnable, TU is ideal.

(2) Games in Fayettnam
(2) games in Tulsa (one at BOK)
(1) Football game in N.W. Ark.

Little Piggy would walk away from the table and offer the $1M payday to ULM/ULL or Northwest St. They think we need the game more than they need to play us.
