Still a lot of time left. But Kansas is a fringe top 25 team since Azuibuike went down. They’re desperate to get de Sousa cleared. Nothing would surprise me but why on earth would the ncaa do them any more favors when it’s so clear they were cheating and the NCAA can’t directly punish them for it? Best way to get them now might be to just drag their feet with de Sousa.

I think self has used up all his good will with them but we’ll see. Duke, Carolina, Kansas, Louisville...so many of the top programs are dirty. At least Louisville cleaned house. The others don’t have the guts.

KU can eat a bag of phallic shaped items but I get don't why fans downplay ranked teams that we beat.

Kansas is a donut team at this point, and it's tough to advance in the tournament without a steady, physical inside presence that can defend, rebound, and get easy buckets when you need one.

However, they still have a lot of talent and can be a dangerous team. Calling them an NIT caliber team is silly, IMO.

Wow Kansas looks horrendous
Texas doesn't look that much better. Looks like a pickup game where whoever gets the ball shoots it. Neither team appears to be running any offensive sets and both teams look really disinterested.

Lots of the fans dressed up as empty seats.

I had never been to the Erwin Center prior to moving to Texas in 1984. UT was playing Houston one Sunday and decided on the spur of the moment to try and go to the game. To my amazement I simply walked up and got a ticket. The Erwin Center seats about 17,000 but I'd be willing to bet that attendance that day was probably around 3-4K at the best. Only time I saw it sold out was when Penders was coaching and they were playing UNC. Bottom line; they don't care about basketball down there.

Maybe a quick turn around where they had a big game on the road in Lexington, to now playing at Texas. Got all jacked up for game day and after being beat hang their heads for the next game or two? Happens to a lot of teams that play uk

KU struuuuuggling. To be fair, Texas should be good given their talent and size. They're playing suffocating D tonight. Not sure where that was against the likes of Radford and Joja.

i think we were 15-20 points better Saturday we just missed some shots we usually make due to being hyped up. Also, they hit like 4 3s in the last 90 seconds
Had we hit 30% the first half it would have been a 15 point game, at least.

You have a point about Texas being better than what they've showed. As Al McGuire said, "at this level it all comes down to coaching".

I hate KU but I kind of want them to win to make us beating them look better. If they start losing (like Auburn is) it doesn't really help us out much.
Four losses already and they still have to play at Tech, TCU, Baylor and K-State. With the way they're playing those will be tough games.

^^^to hell with Kansas. All time wins trumps having a game in a particular year that “looks good”. We have so many games in the sec left that can be good wins that one doesn’t matter to me.

Kansas looks like a 3/4 seed who will be lucky to get past the Sweet 16.

Kansas is lucky to make it out of the Sweet 16 on their best years lol. Self has been knocked out as a 1-2 seed in the first and 2nd weekend more than any coach at a Bkue Blood.

We have the number 1 team twice, home against LSU who is like 17th and road at miss state, which I think will be weighted better if we win there than a win at Rupp vs Kansas.

Probably better for us for KU to win, but F them! Their not very good and like I said the other day they are around an 18th ranked team. Of course WVU loss only dropped 2 then to us for 2 out of 3 losses and only another 2. Their cooked. This should really drop them out of the top 20. Texas is 11-9 and not much better on paper than WVU. How many bad losses can they have and stick around the top 10?

Hayes for Texas would have been a nice addition to our team this year and beyond. Can see why Calipari had interest in the young man. Has loads of potential.

When Kansas doesn't go to the free throw line, then they struggle to score.

Shaka Smart is a crappy coach, but hell... even he could have figured out that one out watching film.
