K and P for Fall 2021

[Leeshouldveflanked]

It looks like both Ruiz and Day are not coming back... any ideas on who will be our K and P?

[dawgstudent]

Reed Bowman is what HD6 told me for punter.

Was Day’s injury that bad?**

[DAWG61]

His twitter injury is, sucks cause he actually is a hell of a punter

[Leeshouldveflanked]

Ruiz was probably the most talented Kicker we have ever had...

[thatsbaseball]

Too lazy to look it up but that's a pretty big statement

[Dawgg]

At least since Westerfield, I’d say.

At least since Westerfield, I’d say.

I loved Westerfield but you choose Ruiz 10/10 times for anything past 45 yards.

[Leeshouldveflanked]

Career
Ruiz FG 47-61 77% XP 118-119
Westerfield FG 30-42 71.4 % XP 55-59
Russ didn’t kick FG’s

[DAWG61]

Ruiz was very good this year. We probably win 2-3 more games if he's used more as a weapon than as a reluctant last option. It is what it is though you don't see coaches tailoring offenses around their good kicker very often. Spurrier used to do it some. He beat us one year with his kicker alone but that was vs Croom so there's that.

Scott Goodman handled kickoffs for 2 years before Ruiz came this year. He is a junior. Jace Christmann could come back next year for FGs and XPs

[tenureplan]

Heath will be both K and P
