Rhule is right about this. One bad play when youre up 11 points is not what lost this game. Its all the BS that happened after it
I forgot that Bill Busch was the ST coordinator at the time of this game. Pretty sure he felt sick when the call came down to run this play.

No, actually that one bad play lost that game. Momentum is real, especially for one of Frost's mentally delicate rosters.
At least the ball went forward more than a yard. Unlike this kickoff.
Coaches are pretty reluctant to criticize other coaching decisions, so I would expect Rhule to say something along those lines....but that particular decision was one of the greatest self-owns in recent history, equally as baffling today as it was 3 years ago
Like in 1978 when Barney Cotton was wanting TO to call a time out on a critical late game drive because his shoe was off. TO motioned into him to run the play with his shoe off.
These are plays the oldtimers like Scarlet and others will remember.

- Trouble stopping the run.Nebraska's opponents have amassed 131 rushing yards on 27 carries. Their average rushing gain is a robust 4.85 yards, which is 60% better than Nebraska's longest rushing gain (3 yards).
- Disastrous passing game.Husker quarterbacks have completed six of 16 passes for 40 yards and have had four intercepted. On five other called passing plays that count statistically as runs, Nebraska has suffered quarterback sacks for losses totaling 55 yards. That means 21 called passing plays have netted minus-15 yards and four turnovers.

The only unfortunate thing about the crotch grab was that Ben’s fellow linemen didn’t go full on Equalizer on that POS A&M player. There was video evidence and nothing happened to that POS. The league totally ignored it. Sh## like that should warrant a suspension for the rest of the year.
