Analysis aside, we can then all agree that's it an improvement.

Eight more tries. One more win.

Would like another W in the schedule, and another in the first game of the B1G tourney. Would be good to double wins (from 7 to 14).

the way the B1G is shaking out Purdue, Maryland Wisconsin, and Northwestern are all getting double byes. Provided Michigan State isn't in our path getting to Round 3 of the B1G tournament isn't crazy.

Right now spots 5 thru 13 are all completely up in the air. Michigan State could be a 5 or could be a 13. Iowa could be a 5 or a 13.

at this point, you have to take it game by game. How can we say 1-7 to close the season is a success? Goals can change. While we wanted to be better than last year, great...but the start we had, have to move the goalposts a bit.

I think the guys regroup.....& come out fighting!

At some point the close call vs Wisc will become a motivator

I see 2 more wins and a B10 tourney win...

One more win doesn't define improvement for me. It means status quo. Improvement for me means three more wins including big ten tourney.

Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota are home along with Maryland

at Penn State and at Ohio State are the other options.....at Purdue and at NW are tough to look for with how well both are playing right now.

I don't know if Nigel Johnson is seriously hurt of just tweaked an ankle or something else, but that number is not improving if he's out for any extended period of time. There isn't enough guard play to overcome an injury to the backcourt and score enough points.

Iowa is improving with their freshmen and is not the same team from November or early December. Penn State is more improved than expected.....before the season, those along with NW were thought to be the possibilities along with Nebraska and Iowa.....but the league is vastly improved.

We play home and home with Maryland, NW and Wisconsin and truly 4 of those 6 games were "road games".

Ohio State and Illinois are the two best options based on what I see, followed by an improving Minnesota team, which has as much talent as Iowa does.

RU finds 2-3 more wins folks, still looking at the overall season, not isolating at Michigan State and Iowa game at home, as where we are as a program.

Me neither. Because "w's" and "l's" don't always tell the story. If you - or anyone else - can't see the improvement it's only because you're not looking.

The team has its noticeable flaws, but if the RAC brings it, one more is definitely doable.

Interesting how Mike Williams got 35 more minutes. As others have noted, Sanders and Johnson should not be playing a ton together. Start Williams, bring Johnson off bench. Sanders got some breathers today from 6 minutes of JD.

16 wins is the magic number for me. In the last 10 years, thru 3 coaching regimens, 15 is the highest win total, once by Hill, and twice by Rice. Amazing job by Pikiell in his first year if he can pull it off.

I think we're talking two different things

The team HAS improved, already as of 2/4. (Okay, if we lose all our remaining games by an average of 25+ points, I'll take that back.)

But in terms of what I'd be okay from here to end of reg season, I think two is the over under. If we win zero or one--not okay, if we win two--okay; if we win three+ very nicely done.
