Oklahoma team won its first freestyle dual over Georgia 46-16. The Greco team took second finishing up yesterday. Was going today but home repairs kept me at home. Oklahoma has a very good team but probably no match for Illinois who beat them in the final dual in Greco.

We amassed an early lead against Pennsylvania but barely held on to win 33-31 losing the last 3 matches including Jacob Butler losing 12-5 at 138. Someone needs to clue in Mrs. Golowenski that she is on open Mike. She is the scorekeeper for the first two matches and while she is fairly knowledgeable about wrestling she got over-excited a time or two particularly when Rhett was wrestling and got soundly defeated.

We defeated nebraska 46-21 to go into the Gold/Silver round. Mrs. Golowenski is like every parent. She is totally invested in Rhett's wrestling career and nothing wrong with that but the official scorekeeper should not be the voice on the mat IMO and lets not forget this video on Track goes all over the country. She did a great job in keeping score and I did not see her make an error in scoring.

Winners of the 4 pools are Illinois, Oklahoma, Ohio and New Jersey.

Plott is a superstar wrestler who just tech falled 14 to 4 Franek from ND who is NDSU's top recruit by far this year. Franek is like a 5 time state champ and former cadet national champ. We need Plott and Ferrari for the class of 20 ( we should also get Surber). I sure hated to hear Ferrari was going to Blair but I guess we could still get him.

Ohio forfeited the last five weights and still won 38-30 which means it was 38-10 when they started the forfeits. Minnesota defeated Illinois so we wrestle Illinois for third place. Ohio wrestles Minnesota for first.

Calling it a day. We are behind 34-12 and getting beat at 170 so Illinois will be third and we end up 4th. Plott wins 8-2 against Braunagel.
