Not sure about his coaching chops. ;He can recruit, but, someone mentioned the academic standards are lower so he was able to get good players in....would they get into Rutgers ?

Pastner can recruit. His teams are undisciplined and can't shoot FTs and love to dunk and turn the ball over...but...he can recruit. And this is what Rutgers needs. Players. You gotta start somewhere. Guys like Archie Miller, Gregg Marshall, Chris Mack are not going to Rutgers. Pastner wouldn't be terrible.

I've thought all season that Pastner would be perfect for you guys if he gets canned. He's young and can only get better as he refines the other aspects of coaching. And as said already, boy can he recruit.

I see you really wanted to bring this point home by mentioning it twice in an 8 post thread even after someone else mentioned it. Haha. Anyway we get it and we could definitely do far worse. People here have to stop turning their nose up for everyone other than Sendak.

My point was Russ Wood is not an RU fan and mentioned the academics. I remember when Wagner went to Memphis and his high school teammate went and kid was supposed to be a horrible student.
