Wonder if John Higgins has his friends screw over the cats in their games after what happened to him last year? This needs to be looked into as the three last night were not on the right page!

It was bad both ways but the type of calls hurt the cats more. Example, the BS charge calls on Shai that took him out of his game and hurt team flow.
The play I remember the most, was when Silva lowered his shoulder into Richards and Richards fell. Was a no call and they got a wide open layup. As soon as one of their guys flopped to the floor it was an automatic offensive foul.
If he’s only half as bad as Higgins he’s still pretty bad.
I honestly believe college refs are scared to go against the hostile home crowds. What's the old saying, "when in doubt, white out"...Rupp isn't a venomous place to play like most other SEC venues. Sure we get up for certain games, but we don't spew venom and because we're the other teams Superbowl, the refs get caught up in that...I've watched since 1965 and will never be convinced otherwise.

You are correct UKhoops. If the coach yells and gets the crowd fired up, look out visiting team, especially if it's the CATS..that is a problem with the officials big time. That is why they make so many bail out calls like double fouls when there was only the one foul or a timeout while a player is chasing the ball on the floor with no possession..Hate college basketball.
I love college hoops. I love UK. I don't care for many of our SEC Zebra's. Joe Lindsey has now joined the lest respected pool of ref's. Guy's like Blind Karl Hess, Muscle man Doug Shows, Tony Green ( waiting to T a player for any sign of being dissatisfied. Bigbluedon, man I understand!

It should be noted that Keith Kimble, who officiated last night, was also part of the crew that called our Elite Eight game vs. UNC. We have lost our last four games with him on the whistle.

This is the most paranoid fan base about officiating there is. Or maybe it's just the board because I don't hear as much from friends that are fans outside of this board. Do we get bad calls Yes, do we get some good calls yes. I don't think the officiating world is out to destroy UK. Higgins I agree with but that's one out of the whole lot.
Don’t embarrass yourself by trying to blame a referee. He didn’t miss free throws. This team has panicked at the end of previous games and it got us this time. It’s that easy.

He's also the one who called a technical on SKJ in the Louisville game after he got the "and 1" and was pushed by a U6 player.
