He was the receiver that was interfered with against Kansas in 1969 that Pepper Rodgers was so upset about...I was a kid and seen this game and remember it very well..

After the game Devaney told Pepper.. “ well Pepper how did you like my father in-law officiating today...
Rodgers ate a sandwich in the post game being so pissed off..

The win against Kansas started Nebraska 32 game winning streak till UCLA beat Nebraska in 1972..

So many of the heroes of our youth are at a tipping point. Sad to see them go.

Still have the OWH Sports paper of that game..
Have some cherished papers that I have kept throughout my lifetime of our historic teams..

I've never been big on saving that kind of memorabilia. I've got way too much crap as it is. I guess they'll be able to fit it all in one small pickup load when they take it to the dump when I tip over.

Actually, that is cool. I have some from the early 90's that my dad sent me while I was deployed. It was the start of the dynasty and a link to my deceased father. I would love to look through fellow Cornhuskers' treasure trove of OWH Big Red Edition newspapers. Like, would I mind if someone popped in a old VHS recording of a classic game? Of course not.
