They are NBA scouts looking for NBA talent. They shouldn't be at good at identifying what make a NCAA team successful.
All they do is watch high school and college basketball players. They get to see every college team when no one else has access and can compare what they see across teams. They get paid a lot of money for their basketball opinions.
Not having Cliff to protect the rim is going to be the difference between a great season and a special season. But I still like the roster Pike put together with the resources he had. Jerry has 9-2 OOC and 12-8 in conference. My prediction is 8-3, 12-8 so pretty much in lock step. Can't wait!
We have a potential rim protector in Bailey, but i suspect he will be out on the perimeter guarding a wing.

Here's a too-early question.. when we play Alabama.. if Cliff starts.. how quickly will we pile up fouls on him? Surely we know his good and bad habits pretty well and will be able to leverage that.
I don’t see that, Steve always gave his best offensive players freedom to play, Sanders, Geo, Ron, etc.

He took it a step further and projected us as a 6-seed in the NCAA tournament, which makes sense. However, I could also see the possibility of being a top 20 team with that record, and a 5-seed, especially if we go, say, 2-1 in the B1G tournament.
