File under FWIW. AMart was pretty hobbled coming off of the field Saturday. Could he be right as rain four days later?

I always think that first night is key with sprains (if that is what it was), if you ice and take your advil and WAKE UP at like 2am to take advil again...the swelling is way different...plus these guys are young.

I hope they hold out AM regardless. There's no reason to risk further injury when we have a bye week coming up and he hasn't been playing well anyway.

Agree, but unfortunately many coaches are wired so that they would rather have "their guy" out there limping around and being ineffective than playing a serviceable next man up. This is particularly true when it comes to their QBs.

Bo's playing an obviously limited TMart against the Gophers qualifies. I believe that was the last game he played.

No kidding times two. And as your aches and pains add up with age you become more sympathetic to the injured players. At least I am. When I was younger and not all that far from playing HS football they would show a player down with part of his leg bone sticking through the skin and I'd think "just rub some dirt on it." Now, as I'm a lot older, they show a player with a bad hangnail and I'm "oh dear God, get that poor kid on a cart and in the ambulance."

You do realize that Vedral is Frosts QB too right? He recruited both QBs. If Vedral was better then Martinez, then he’d be our QB right now. End of story. There is a reason why it’s been Martinez up to this point. Eventually Martinez will play threw this rough patch and get himself back on track. He’s a sophomore at the half way point of his 2nd year in the system. He’s got plenty of time to snap back, 2 and half years to be exact.

The Very worst case, Martinez keeps struggling all season and all the way into next season. If that happens, I’d have to assume Luke McCaffrey would eventually jump him. They claim Luke has been killing it up to this point. It won’t be Vedral, it will end up being McCaffrey. And this IF, a HUGE IF, Martinez keeps struggling.

jesus balls...his stats are nearly identical to this point last year and he is missing 2000 yards of offense and his main offensive lineman from last year...like he is missing nearly all of the production from the offense last year outside of his running ability.
