Very great article, thanks for sharing Quavarius. I have really enjoyed watching Tatum play the past 2 seasons. He has the ability to become one of Boston’s All Time Greats as long as he stays healthy. I am very tempted to make the drive to Milwaukee tomorrow to watch Jabari and Jayson battle tomorrow haha.
He’s a man and a real pro and can’t even order a glass of wine yet.
Every single NBA person raves about the way Tatum carries himself, we are very lucky to have him representing Duke.
I knew him and his mother were VERY close but now I see why. I mean, she paid for him to attend basketball tournaments which meant the lights would get cut off or the mortgage would be late. The part about not having food and they would share a neighbor's chicken pot pie (he would eat the filling and she would just eat the crust). I mean, talk about sacrifice. Now, they're all eating a lil bit better. Their story is so relatable to a lot of us out there who may have struggled but used that struggle to find a way out.
This is why I never complain about kids going pro.
Time was, Duke was not just elite, but elitist. It's great how we've expanded our definition of what earns one a spot in The Brotherhood to recognize greatness in a variety of forms.
