Looks like buying all the lame guys from iowa was not a great idea.

Mac retiring after this year (hates the AD anyway) and that will be that.

Jays played like absolute crap at Gonzaga, but actually looked pretty good today.

Baylor has some dudes - early on, I thought the Bears would win by 30.

I can't think of another time in my life where I ever cared less about college basketball. I used to mount the bike on the trainer in the bedroom and watch all the great basketball in the eighties and 90's... but now? I care more bout my new toilet.

What were you expecting out of them this season? They did a roster turn over on par with the typical Fred Hoiberg team and then proceeded to have their best player be injured and out for the season already. You’re getting all puffy chested because the huskers are actually winning a few games and not starting out garbage like they typically do.

If someone attends creighton and they’re from Nebraska, which football team do they have your permission to cheer for?

From my experience at Nebraska Creighton game's Creighton fans would fit in with Colorado and Missouri, as the worst people I have ever sat by at a game. So you would fit in there. Although the worst individual person I was ever by was a drunk female k st fan, bet she gets a pass because I think she would have blown a ,25 couldn't even stand.

I happened to catch about 5 minutes of game time on the radio. Bishop went nuts 3 different times.

Ohhh looks like they got Iowa State today.

That seems a bit large. I would take the Jays today.

Wow, looks like I was way wrong. Line came down to -5 since ISU's best player was out but I guess it doesn't matter when the Jays decided to become...whatever it is they are.

Jays were badly overmatched today, compounded by some really lame turnovers. Everyone turns the ball over against Iowa State, but there were at least a half dozen of the lazy variety.

Bright spot for Creighton is that the Greer kid - who McDermott had been planning to redshirt - can play. He might be their best player right now.

I don't know who that is, I just know that they tried to bring over the entire iowa basketball team, the same guys who got Fran fired and thought they would be great additions.

Redshirts seem to be done, unless you just suck at basketball. So it is probably better to just play that kid now.

The ex-Iowa guys are decent players, although the one Fred got - Pryce Sandfort - has the highest ceiling of the three.

McDermott is way too old-school when it comes to playing freshmen. But the Greer kid will force his hand, because the veteran players on the roster are not nearly good enough to keep him on the bench.

If she was that drunk she would have probably blown a 2 or a 3.

The main 3 hoops players that Iowa lost in the portal (Josh Dix, Owen Freeman, and Payton Sandfort) were all productive players for Fran McCaffrey’s teams. Dix was the most productive of those three (smart team player who could manufacture his own shot) and the only one that most Iowa fans were disappointed that left. Freeman had a good freshman year, but last year he came into the season out-of-shape and had several nagging injuries, and when he did play he appeared lazy. Sandfort is a streaky shooter, but when he gets hot from 3-point land, can be an asset. However, after seeing Iowa this season under new coach Ben McCollum jump out to a 7-0 record by playing tenacious defense (something that Fran didn’t teach/preach), I’m not sure if any of those 3 former Iowa players would be getting significant playing time on this year’s team? None of them were likely quick enough nor had the abilities to play the kind of defense that McCollum demands.
