An undrafted free agent, Grant entered camp as a long shot to make the roster. However, his ability to create quick separation while working out of the slot has garnered some early attention.

Winners:
Janarion Grant — This was a tough one to decide on for Player of the Day due to Grant’s impressive practice. As I mentioned Averett with his six highlighting plays,

He could no get separation.
Is this a reference to Mick's birthday?
Nobody can get separation when your pattern has you running straight down the field or more often running to a level and stop. The advantage is always with the receiver if he is agile enough to put his foot in the ground to make a move. It does not matter how fast a DB is in that case because there is a delay in recovery because reaction time is not instant. There are always windows it everyone is not run to the same level and stopped. They are bigger when the route has some cuts or moves .

He WAS our offense in 2016. As in, we had jack squat without him. When he got injured against Iowa, scoring any points became newsworthy.
You are so wrong: we had Drew Mehringer as our OC, the problem was with all of the players! If they had only played better he would have returned in 2017.

Fan in me Hates it. However, if he wasn’t 100% confident in it being healed mentally, I can see his POV. No different than kids skipping bowl games
worse. could have cost us one...if you can't play, don't.
him coming back as super exciting news. Then a complete non-factor in 2017. Maybe best intentions. But just didn't seem right.
In the end? Hoping he is a star....he was our 1 big star for 2.5 years.

Tough crowd. From what I could see he played hurt all year after a serious injury. His game is all about speed and cutting ability. That’s tough when injured.
