So amidst all of the bitching about Nebrasketball, we get reminded that these guys are human and have real life problems. Apparently after the loss to Michigan Palmer got an airplane to go be with is dying grandfather. Man, we have to remember sometimes to temper our criticism of these guys. We have no idea what other things they are dealing with in their personal lives that can be affecting their performance. Who knows if they can even sleep at night due to something that's bothering them.

Maybe you can remember to give people like Taylor Martinez, Kenny Bell, Stanley Morgan Jr etc etc some slack then.
I gave TM plenty of slack for playing with a fractured fibula. Not so much for his crappy attitude. Martinez's biggest problem was his head coach. Martinez was a regular at a friend's kid's apartment. TM had some personal issues. I never said much about Kenny for his never ending boo boos. I know more about Kenny than I should share on here. It's no surprise that he's constantly on the injury report. Stanley drove me crazy with his inexplicable drops then seemingly impossible catches the next minute. Kenny and Stanley are both really likeable guys. I hope they all have success in life.
And TM had a lot of off the field adversity that he had to deal with too. You bashed Morgan’s attitude for years because of that one time he yelled at TA4. If you’re mad at BO take it out on him. He’s a man and he’s 40+

Most of TM's off field adversity was of his own doing. His head coach was not helpful in that regard. You better show me where I bashed Morgan's attitude. The only thing I criticized him for was talking smack when he was a young player. He wanted to run his mouth a little too much on the field when his play didn't support it. I think my comment was, "shut your mouth and play football". That seems pretty reasonable. You're a piece of work Charlie. You should stick to your attempts at humor.
I don't know any details of the situation. I just heard a snippet on the radio yesterday from Heady(?) as I was working. Somebody else may know more and could fill in the details. I just know that when you're in school away from family and something like that is going on, it can be really tough to deal with.
