There is no way to know from this screen shot. He's either talking about behind the scene stuff going on with Jasper. Behind the scene stuff like Pope having issues. Behind the scene stuff like Pope telling players to leave.

If I had to guess it's probably Pope not having control of his locker room with all these divas he recruited and from how Jaspers uncle is acting probably some of that too.

For the love of god don't message players
Dude don't overreact to that. Players are just humans as well and they get flooded with messages from people. You may not like it but its the way the world is today. In many instances the players aren't above responding to people because they are in the same age bracket of people like other college aged adults and etc.

It isn't that big of a deal the players will respond to what they respond to and ignore what they choose to ignore like we all do. People that flip out over players getting messages from fans is crazy. Would 99% of the fanbase ever choose to message them no probably not but who cares if some do. It is a harmless thing. The players choose to respond because they know it will become headlines in the message board community and social media.

I remember when I was in middle school I messaged every player we had on Facebook lol. I think Patrick Patterson might have replied. I felt famous at the time

I can’t explain how much I despise social media and smart phones. Honestly, combined they are destroying lives and civilization.

Young people have no clue how to communicate, build relationships, solve problems.

Everyone has the ability to publicly post ********.

And to top it all off, and to make it ten times worse, my wife always can see exactly where I am at any moment. Gone are the stops at the bar, quick pull through at the fast food restaurant, hiding in my car at the end of the block, and those mini two hour fishing “trips” when I’m working in a neighboring city for the day.

This is absolutely true, my kids have no idea how to act in front of a crowd. Without a screen they go into panic mode FR. I’ve tried everything to get them out of their shell and into different things. It’s terrible. My daughter finally got her first job at a local fast food place and is a little more outgoing. My son I worry about. He is such an introvert and his anxiety is crazy. He wants nothing more than to meet a nice girl and have a family but social media has convinced him every woman is a ho out for money. I’m glad he’s got a realistic view of some of them to protect himself, but he thinks no decent women exist. He won’t go to the right places and even try to find them, but pouts about not having a GF.

I took my 13 year old grandson up camping in the motor home, and it's 9000 ft and no phone service. Talk about a pissed off kid the whole damn trip, it's really all they know, pretty pathetic.

My dad would have taken my phone, and stomped it to pieces, no doubt in my mind 😂

Messaging kids aside. I don’t doubt one bit that Pope is a locker room nightmare, looks at his substitutions all year. He constantly had players frustrated. I’ve also heard that the Pope mr nice guy routine is just an act.

Pope can't even try to be mad. I always laugh at that post game he had when he made sure we seen his bleeding scratch. I bet he really tore into them in the locker room

I get it though. Nothing wrong with being an introvert. I"ve always been introverted and a bit shy.

And kids see what's happening around them these days....they aren't stupid. They see all the crime, war, bad economies, rising prices, home costs so they doomscroll. Heck, I'm an adult and I'm guilty of it. World sucks a lot these days.

And it's hard for men especially. We're torn between extremists of "MUST BE ALPHA SUPER MEN WITH NO FEELINGS!" and also "men should be milquetoast wetnaps". Neither of which are correct. The former leads to men turning into sociopaths or suicidal; the latter turns men into pushovers who don't stand up for anything. And yes sadly, there's an increase in women being viewed as money hos. And sadly some of it is based in some reality. So many women on line looking for "6ft, 6in, and 6 figures". Like that's even remotely realistic. It's doubly hard for introverted men who's interests are not always "SPORTSBALL!" or "HIT THINGS!" or "FAST CARS!"

I hope your son adjusts and knows its ok to be who he is but at the same time, get out into the world a bit.

Both men AND women need to stop seeing each other in SM terms. Not every girl is a thot. Not every man is a misogynistic abuser.

Treat em all like thots until you find the one that isn't. Then marry her and find out she's a thot also. Just never expect much it'll all be ok in the end. It's just your turn no matter what fellas.
kinda joking.

This generation of dating is a no go. It's not like 1950 when Jack and Jill could pull up to the theater watch a movie in their car split a cheeseburger and a root beer float. This generation is selling coochie through Snapchat for tha fowty($40) cuh

Yeah they are very much in the “the world is ****” viewpoint. Makes me so sad, but it’s true. I miss the 1980’s and 1990’s it was a far superior time to live.

Well, it is probably hard to control a mercenary hired gun team with no allegiance to the school or team so there’s that nice little nil/tp gift.

This.

Rule of thumb:

If younger than the players - it’s fine. Maybe even cute

If peers of the players - acceptable but strange to privately message someone you don’t know

If a grown *** man older than 30 - Don’t do this, you loser. You’re grown. Quit harassing teenagers because they play/played for your favorite team. Definitely don’t insult them for playing poorly in a game you watched from your couch.

Seriously, grown men who send DMs to college athletes need to make something other than “Big _______ fan” their entire personality.

I miss those days too. Just enough tech to be entertained but not enough to be intrusive.

We played outside and used our imaginations to invent games when we weren’t playing sports or riding bikes. Screens and video games are something we did at night or when it rained.

We didn’t know our neighbors’ religion and politics. We didn’t discuss these things in public and people generally got along and could overlook differences and focus on common bonds.

My last complaint is smartphones make it to where everyone is expected to be “available” 24/7.

I liked it when you could only be found by
a) someone calling your landline.
b) someone calling your work landline
c) someone ringing your doorbell
d) a chance encounter in public

Nowadays you can’t even take a dump without the boss texting you, wife blowing up Facebook messenger, kid wanting to FaceTime, and a scammer who bought or stole your info calling about a nonexistent car warranty .. all at the same time.

Grandpa gonna quit yelling at clouds now.

FIRST OF ALL, Lowe isnt a UK player anymore.

But second and most importantly the person who messaged Lowe was a younger person, the woman tweeted that her son messaged him and that was Lowe's reply. so it was a kid that did that.

Amen Dude! I agree so much and it sounds just like my child hood. I literally have three different BMW’s that need a car warranty…. I get mail every week about it lmfao. I remember when a text better be something very important because it just cost me 10 cents. If you aren’t missing or dead don’t call before 9pm on my cell phone.

Well it goes back to the pregame at Louisville that there was and still is a locker room certain player issues IMO that was lingering all year. Whether it was a combination of players, coaches etc it was an issue all year

I'm guessing it's Oweh? Pope just allowed him to run wild and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth is my guess. Ironically I remember reading a BYU forum (Cougnation or something like that) few months after Pope was hired and someone on that forum said BYU was kind of tired of Pope's incessant "positivity" and him hyping up they had "the best locker room in the nation." The poster said the locker room was far from that. Didn't take for us to find that out did it lol.
