With the terrible but expected news that Jahseem Felton will be out for the year let's start a get well thread that he will eventually see.

Coach Holloway has stated the importance that Felton has meant to the program. We can do no less in wishing him the best in his hopefully speedy recovery.

There is always going to be adversity along the way to success, and this year, it's here for you, young fella. Keep grinding, stay focused, and come back stronger and better than you were already. Pirate Nation is behind you, Jah!

Absolutely agree. Felt terrible when I saw him go down.

Hang in there...heal up and we will see you next year!

I had an aisle seat down low right next to our players tunnel last night and was able to speak to Jahseem for a few seconds as he walked by on his crutches after the game. I wished him a speedy recovery and that I missed seeing him out on the court.
He smiled and thanked me and seemed to be in good spirits.

Keeping good thoughts for Jahseem.

Hopefully his surgery and recovery goes smoothly. Most of all hoping that's he's fully healthy when all is said and done.

Hey Jah if you read this I'm heartbroken your season came to such a quick end, and hoping your surgery and rehab goes as well as possible. I also tore my ACL while a student at SHU. I was in the rec center shooting around and let go of the rim at the exact moment a ball from another court rolled underneath me. I landed on it and hit the floor like a sack of potatoes. Worst thing was nobody gave a sh*t despite that I was crying out in pain on the floor. I kid you not, I had to beg a few kids to help me to the door, then limp to the top of the parking garage and drive home (commuter) pressing the gas pedal with my right leg torn to crap.

The surgery wasn't fun nor was the rehab. Actually, I had to write a formal letter to petition the school because as a health sciences major who was entering clinical rotations, they were not going to allow me on the hospital floor to see patients while on crutches. I had to almost get on my knees like a beggar (metaphorically) otherwise I would have failed clinical rotations, lost my half scholarship, and been kicked out of the program with almost 50k already in debt.

All in all, the entire tearing my ACL saga was one of the most difficult things I've done in my entire life, and I've done a handful of hard things including Army bootcamp. That is why I cringed when I saw what happened to you on the court live and immediately was praying for you. For your physical health but also your mental health. I know what I dealt with while enduring that injury, and so I can only imagine what you are going through after preparing for your entire life to be a collegiate basketball player, and the potential impact this has on your future.

Although our situations are different in some ways, please know that my heart and prayers are with you and that as someone who has felt this same pain, I hurt for you, and for anyone who endures major injuries like this. But be encouraged, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Take this time off the court to stay mentally focused on your health, your recovery, your academic opportunity at a top university, your friends, your teammates, your family, and if you are a person of faith, God who was with you holding your hand through all of this adversity.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It was the difficult times in my life that helped make me into the person I would become, and give me the strength and determination I would need to be successful in what was ahead. And I know it will be the same for you if you keep mentally strong and the attitude of an overcomer. Anyway, I hope you stay well and God bless you bro. You have a great future ahead. HAZART ZET FORWARD. GO HALL.

Being an athlete comes with injuries, we all understand that, but it doesn't make it suck any less when they do happen. Keep your head up. I know you'll be a stay voice from the bench. Can't wait to see you light up the court next year when you return!

Get well soon Jahseem. Your hard work and dedication to the program has not gone unnoticed by the fans. I hope in these times that you rely upon your family, friends, teammates, and coaches for support. Know that the fans are behind you and we look forward to the day where you turn the page on this setback and start a new chapter in your basketball journey.

Hope for a strong recovery and a successful career. Interesting note Jahseem is on the cover of 25-26 Lindy's college basketball magazine.

Recover well Jahseem. Study the game and you won't lose a step when back.
All of the above.

And, on the bright side of a difficult situation, you get to extend your college life for a year!! Enjoy the time and work toward a Masters degree.
