People forget he was a 17 and 7 guy as a rookie (albeit for a really bad team). Even though he is sort of out of place in today's NBA from a stylistic standpoint, he is not a cupboard that is bare or anything. There are some things he can do to help a team if he develops even a little more defensively. Hopefully he can make the most of this chance.
There's definitely a spot for someone like Jahlil in the NBA. It's probably not ever going to be as an All-Star, but I still think he's one of those guys who can score double-digits and give you five or six rebounds a game. His role is just going to be more limited. I liked seeing in the article that he's making a conscious effort to improve his shooting. I hope he's doing the same with his defense.
He definitely needs to play some kind of D. I know there is not of it played in the NBA but he can do better. OFC
This is a great situation for Jah. Davis is the kind of athletic unicorn Jah needs beside him, and NO is getting the kind of shooters to open up the paint.
I’m not sure this is the ideal situation for Okafor. The Pelicans were better without Cousin because Davis played center.
Granted Davis does have an injury history so may he gets a good amount of time.
