Those Miami freshman straight bring it. Need to get back there again and sign a few more.
The most impressive thing about that run was that extra 10 yards Barney gets after he gets hit at the 41 yard line. Same thing happened with a few of Emmitt's runs as well as Boerkircher's run after the catch. Those extra yards were really the difference.
We need to get him in more open space. With DH making the calls I fully anticipate some bigger plays next year - love Barney and can’t wait to see him next year.
Dylan and Dana have a good combination of young guys and portal guys to play with this year. Should be an explosive offense.
I don't care who transferred in from Cal or Kentucky. Jacobi Barney is our #1 WR next year. Just watch.
We were the least explosive offense in the conference last year with just one single 50+ yard TD
Protection & a consistent ground game will once again dictate DR’s ability to push the ball downfield
I don’t see him as the explosive guy going forward but more of the useful guy.

Hints..:: young guys and portal players are a good combination for DR and DH. EJ hanging around DR so much is a good sign in my opinion. Offense will be much improved imo.
It will not even look like the same team. Especially if we can keep line and DR healthy.
I think he’s a kid who sees the field well and has a knack for being where he supposed to be.
We actually ranked 94th among FBS teams when you include bowl games, according to the site linked below. Our rushing offense (96th) was considerably lower than our passing offense (65th). We need to improve both aspects of the offense, especially the rushing offense, if we want to win more than three conference games for the first time since 2016. I still think they should pick up a proven running back in the portal to compliment Emmett Johnson. Hopefully a good running back will be available after spring ball.

Holgerson is putting together the offense right now. He's obviously been able to evaluate the room, plus what is being added to the room. He has spoken highly of Ives and one of the backs that was a RS. EJ will be a feature player in his offense. From available evidence, it seems they were not close to pulling the trigger on a portal. Booth and Parker are already listed on the roster. It's possible Holgerson is evaluating over winter and spring, then a decision will be made whether to snag a back later in the spring out of the portal.
