Loved his fire. Need more guys like that.
JY made two of my favorite plays of the Pike era: the midcourt steal at Minnesota that helped save our NCAA bid (punch that ticket!), and the posterizing dunk over Haarms at Mackey Arena to punch that would-be ticket... darn covid!**

Well I still like him too. He was fun to watch and wish he stayed. Oh well.
JY was fast enough to play cornerback on the football team
He was a big part of our two best Pike years, 19-20 and 20-21. Seems like a lifetime ago.
JY was one of my favorite players here. JD reminds me a bit of a raw version of JY.
I was hoping Derek would become that. But Jacob was one of the funnest players to watch.

Jacob Young had balls of steel. Loved watching him play. Max effort and max joy for the game at all times.
Jacob was definitely one of my favorite players. He will always be a legend to me.
He was awesome in a huge game at home against Maryland at the end of 2020 . We needed that win to set up a win and get in at Purdue .

I bought the game worn jersey off him from the purdue dunk. Probably the coolest piece of Rutgers memorabilia i have.
Another example of Pikes player development. Pike grabs him off the scrap heap after he washes out at Texas. He starts slow, many mistakes, no team play. Gets better and better. Transfers out to Oregon and regresses.
