I agree. He has really reigned his game in and is channeling that energy. He's not a walking turnover and in fact is the burst into the lane we need many times. And his defense is incredibly valuable and key to this team. I think his energy rubs off on Geo on defense actually as well.

I expected this to happen. He is turning into a valuable resource. We are going to be really good next year.

Had my concerns with getting under control, but agreed - he is turning into a valuable resource.

I had concerns too but not if but when. You could see the talent and see he was pushing it. His confidence was not there either. He now is playing in the flow of the game and his confidence is high. Good coaching here.

I agree that his athletic potential is very high and his mental game is much improved but you can still see the Jekyll and Hyde in him at times. There was a drive in the first half where he went basket to basket even though Indiana had set up their D. Resulted in a turnover and Pike pulled him right after that.

Young has been our best player since his breakout Caldwell game. He's elite defensively and brings the quick explosiveness to get to the basket on offense that no one else has.

I was high on Young preseason and he's living up to it now. It's funny bc I thought he would be very streaky but he's actually been consistantly good over this stretch where others have had both good and bad games. He has all of a sudden become our most reliable player. Hopefully he can maintain the consistency of play night in and night out which has been a problem for most of the roster with good games and duds

I'll be honest and say I didn't like him much at first. Thought he was out of control and was disappointed. But he has won me over and proven me wrong on the first impression. Like someone said earlier, he may have benefited most out of any of the players during Geo's injury.

The substitutional rotations were already at the scorers table ready to enter the game.....so whether he did well or not on that drive, he was coming out.

It was an ill advised drive, but he is probably being told to attack the rim when he can as he is a foul drawing machine......further - I saw equally bad Jekyll & Hyde drives by Mathis and Geo........just the nature of how the team plays....amped up, especially on D and with emotion.

There are 3 players on this team that can have the ball in their hands with 3 seconds left on the shot clock and you know a shot can go up. He is one of them.

He also seems like a GREAT teammate. Seems very close with the guys, and his reaction to Geo's thunderous dunk last night was priceless - sort of like that "bench mob" at Monmouth from a few years ago. There's a pic of it on nj.com.

In years past, he would’ve been dubbed a transfer savior and relied on to be dominant night in and night out. He’d have occasional great nights but mostly average to bad nights. Fans would turn on him and over time, he would get frustrated.

Love the balance of this team and how it allows for guys like Young, Mulcahy, Carter, etc. to come in and provide a spark, but they’re not relied on to do more than they’re capable of.

NOOOOOOOOOO not them.

Emotion was real, they were doing what everyone in the building was doing.

Speaking of Monmouth what was BEP talking to DJ the ref about before the game?

He did admit he had picked up a ton of bad habits from not playing real games for over a year. His self awareness allowed him to adapt and now we are seeing his true potential
