this game came down to free throws. I don’t know why we in bounded the ball 2 time to JMike at the end when we knew MSU was going to foul. The ball needs to get to Francis. He’s the guy we need on the line when it’s pressure time not JMike.

Absolutely in a late game foul situation the ball MUST be inbounded to Francis. I believe he is a 88% foul shooter.
Was thinking this topic was going to say; Izzo works the refs & our coach works up the crowd (maybe somebody can tell him to stop already). And that's why the other coach has been very successful for a very long time. But out of all the games this year - I'm not killing SP for this one. If JMike hits a FT; if refs call clear shove against Buchanan; if we had a real Center to compete with these teams, etc.
We consistently show with posters like this, how many clueless fans are in the fanbase. Ogbole minutes are a hole in the roster, it feels like a bonus any times he actually scores. I'm tired of the posts that just defy logic or even watching the games or understanding what's happening.

PIke is not in the same stratosphere as Izzo. However, Ogbole should almost never be on the court. His size is almost worthless when he has no talent or understanding of the game.
Compare the cost of the rosters if you want to be fair $$$$$$. Sparty fans give more than just opinions unlike this fanbase.

Yet you love a Mark or a Powers who also feel like a bonus when they score. The other option is Dortch who actually scores less by every metric, per 40, per 100 possessions. Also rebounds less. Someone has to play center minutes, we just happen to be doing it with two back up centers at lower levels.
There are games he's fine and games he is a liability. Any team that draws him out of the paint we can't play him. We also saw what happens when we don't play him, we get doubled up in rebounding.

Try listening to Izzo post game presser. He said great stuff about being out coached by pikiel and that the better team "last night" lost.
Pikell predictably clueless, failed to scheme picks or other tactics to free up Francis to get the ball on the inbound plays at the end of the game so that Francis would be fouled and shot the FTs to win the game. Given how easy Davis received the ball it was clear that's the RU guard Izzo wanted on the line to shoot the FTs. Also predictably Davis choked.
BTW, the game clearly turned when Egbole got torched for 3 consecutive pick and rolls. It is coaching malpractice that this team has no legitimate center.

This game was lost a year ago when they could not bring in a competent B1G level center.
