Anyone can pad their stats with a million free throws. Not impressive at all

He is not a lottery pick. May happen but whoever picks him up will be disappointed.

Not true because he will be playing in the NBA.His athleticism is outstanding which makes him difficult to guard.Teams would have a better chance to stop him by playing zone.

He is every bit of a lottery pick. Silly to pretend otherwise. That ability to get to the rim is unmatched — not a faster player with the ball in his hands in the country
Well we will see in year one in the league

Doesn’t the NBA value 3-point shooters? Ivey has NBA athleticism and skill off the bounce, but he’s very pedestrian from deep.

He’ll collect a paycheck, but not sure he’s a star without the shooting chops.

He shoots 38% from three this season and the shooting jump signifies a lot of improvement, I’m sure will make teams not too worried about his shooting ability. Then gotta realize he is an extreme athlete at the guard spot, probably the best since Ja Morant. And he’s been incredible.

I am DAMN proud of this team. They went into one of the most hostile environments and not only battled until the end, but had to fight these officials I've never seen before.

And before any twits on here argue with me about the officiating, let me just say, that I thought the first half until the 2 minute mark was called incredibly fairly. Then the last two minutes we were hit with absurd ticky-tack fouls that enabled a very tight game to got to 9 points. Then in the second half, the older African American official at the baseline called some HORRIBLE calls against us that even Kugler and Lavin questioned out loud. And then the Caucasian official joined in and really screwed us throughout the second half. There is something wrong when two of our guys foul out and NO ONE on Purdue was in foul trouble. Still, I love the way we're playing now.

So, let's finish strong and win at least two more games to finish 12-8 and win one game in the B1G tourney and I feel very comfortable that we're in.

Everyone nitpicking this kid's game in this thread would do unspeakable things to see him in a Rutgers uniform.
Relax. He got way tooooooooooooooo many FT's on tooooooooooooo many ticky-tack fouls against. us. Yes, he's a great player and will be in the NBA next year, but please, don't defend him here.

More foul shots then entire RU team is inexcusable. It just is.
Indefensible. That’s the game right there.

Agreed and that's why we fouled him so much as our defenders aren't as quick and the rotations sometimes didn't even help as he'd switch directions to elude even that. Guy is a serious NBA talent - biggest question for whether he's a solid player or a star is his 3-point shooting, as he has been inconsistent.

Let’s be a smart fan base and not a bunch of homers. Ivey has elite athleticism and will be no doubt be a first round pick (and likely a lottery guy). Sometimes you tip your cap and move on. Purdue played their A game. They deserved it. I’d rather focus on the fact that we didn’t play our best and yet we still had chances.

If they don't call the running before he dri bles carries and stiff arms in college they won't call it against him in the NBA either.

He's obviously a lottery pick.
