Moorhead is what happens when you listen to 'experts' (who are sports journalists with a stat sheet, like Bill Connelly) who look at little more than offensive production. Cohen was duped by this. But I'll give him credit for having an overall 'plan', as he wanted to instill a passing game that could beat Alabama (he saw Clemson do it Trevor Lawrence). Oh well. Again, the transition to a Moorhead offense helped the transition to a Leach offense so that's the consolation prize.Admittedly, I never liked Moorhead. I didn't like his playbook from Penn State, and I thought he hadn't earned his stripes to get an SEC head coach job. Following the Florida and then Kentucky game in his first year, it was clear that he didn't have the ability to adjust or respond to what was clearly happening on the field. He just wasn't ready to control an entire college football program.
