Palm’s theory could hold true for Minn. remember we had a road win at Nebraska at least. They’ve beaten nobody away from home. I’m not sure they could lose their first round of the BIG tourney and get in.

13-9 Minnesota(13-1,0-8) staring at a possible 0-9 road record with @ PSU left, and home games against Illinois, NW, and Rutgers left. Their NET getting lower with each road loss. I don't know how you put them in if they finish 1-3(14-12) or even 2-2(15-11) with no road wins.

Here’s an interesting question. Suppose they beat NW and lose the other 2 games going into the RU game. Are they better off:

A) beating RU thereby securing the first round bye in the BIG tourney. Lose to Indiana in their first game.

B) losing to RU thereby losing the tiebreaker to PSU (this is hypothetical). Pick up a neutral win vs. Nebraska. Go on to lose to Purdue the next game.

How about the same scenerios but they win the round of 12 games and go no further?

they are better off getting a quality win, a neutral site win over Nebby does zero for their profile

Unless Palm turns out to be right after all. What was his theory again about needing a certain number of wins away from home regardless of the opponent?
