It's gonna be difficult to pull for LSU tonight

Not because of the team. Burrow has ties to Amory, MS. and has family members who are MSU grads. Also, their head coach is PERFECT for them. Orgeron is as south Louisiana as they come. And my wife is a NOLA native.

It's the fanbase, many of which are as ornery as a swamp gator. Obnoxious. Belligerent. And currently gathering on Bourbon St. singing the "neck" thing.

Why do children and elderly have to listen to them yelling "SUCK THAT TIGER D**K, B***CH?

ETA: I forgot to mention the diversion of money to the LSU recruit by the booster through the charity (sick kids)

I really don’t care who wins.

If I had to say one way or another, I might be rooting for Clemson again. 17 LSU

Coach O has been the best thing about football this year. He deserves this

For me, it’s the stealing of money from a cancer charity and the fact thry skirted criticism on this topic nationally. Woken finally put something out today.... it this should be a much bigger investigation and story.

I’ve always kinda liked LSU but after how the ncaa didn’t even investigate the boosters stealing money from the children’s hospital to pay recruits....meh I can’t pull for them. Eddie O is a fraud. Joe Brady might as well have the head coaching title because without him they’re a 9 win football team. Pulling for Clemson.

Nothing makes insignificant problems like embezzlement and fraud go away like winning football games.

Chances they bring that up in the broadcast? I wish they would.

Heck my mother graduated from LSU, my grandmother spoke the Cajun French and I can’t pull for them. I was born and raised in Mississippi and MSU alumnus. Therefore my allegiance does not allow me to pull for team that is in direct competition with the state of Mississippi and MSU!

Counterpoint: neither children nor elderly folks who object to singing about feline fellatio should be on Bourbon Street.

Yeah. Forget NCAA violations, people should be in jail for that.

John Paul Funes is doing 33 months for it.

Here’s what I can’t understand.... Funes paid Booty in the early 2000s and Vadal Alexander around 2011. Are we really supposed to think those are two isolated incidents? Couple that with the “strong *** offer” tape the FBI has... and I just don’t see how the NCAA doesn’t have a field office inside their Athletic Department. We have kids cheat in chemistry and miss 75% of a season. They embezzle from a children’s hospital charity and not one punishment was levied (yet).

That's because of the "Bracky Brett factor". If he were at LSU they would have gotten the death penalty

Pulling for LSU. Clemson fans, alumni, and admin are more pretentious and obnoxious than the Ole Miss fan base. It’s just that many here haven’t been around to see how fake those $40,000 per year millionaires can act.

I think Clemson's experience in these games is going to be the difference tonight. O and Co. will do something stupid. I think back to when Saban rolled that onsides kick on Dabo in 2015, and it won the game for them. Also when Saban went with Tua, and Smart just self-destructed. If it gets tight for O, I think he'll mess up.

If LSU is going to win, they are going to have to solidly beat them down.

I'm going to have to file this one under "I'll believe it when I see it."

I agree that experience in games like this is a big plus. Also, Clemson stared down death in that Ohio State game and fought back to win. LSU hasn't really had many "oh ****" moments this season. Will be interesting to see how they handle it if it arises. Then again, being good enough to not face many "oh ****" moments isn't totally awful.

Playing in front of essentially a home crowd will negate Clemson’s experience in my opinion. I hope I am wrong but I think LSU will come out in a fury like they always do.

They will have to have some uncharacteristic play to lose. Just don’t see it happening but would love it if it does.

I don’t get all of the hate. I like LSU. I hope they win tonight. They are actually the only team in the West besides us that I don’t hate. I’ve had more fun at our games there than any other away campus that I’ve been to. I can’t tell you how much food and alcohol has been offered to me outside Tiger Stadium while tailgating.

The narrative of them having ****** fans is false from my experience. Sure, they are obnoxious, but it’s usually in good fun. They want everyone to have a good time.

I find it hilarious that 90% of the posters on this board are Saints fans, but they crap on LSU fans. They are the exact same fanbase.

Also, I can’t cheer for Dabo. His aww shucks good ol country boy routine is played out. He has strong Hugh Freeze vibes to him.

Dabo does what he has to do to win, but he's genuine, and nothing like Freeze. I've met him, been around him enough, he's a straight up guy.
