Would love to see us occupy the 8 spot by year’s end. A victory tomorrow will get us closer, and we have to win at NW later. We need to sweep or split with everyone in our “neighborhood” in those standings.

My guess is that they made a "mini-conference" out of the four (3-6) teams, and then counted just their record against each other:

NW (2-1)
Rutgers (1-1, head to head win over Neb)
Neb (1-1)
Indiana (1-2)
