Add that to the fact that our offense wastes 7-8 series a game without doing anything resembling the system of a "genius", special teams that are so bad that when we actually catch the ball and don't fumble it's considered a "huge improvement", and losses in bunches. I think you're a lot closer than you think to seeing a lot of empty seats at the stadium. I'd go so far as to say a lot of those fans were there because they thought this had the makings of a special season. A lot of them probably took the bowl game last season and the hot start of this season as a sign that we had finally emerged.
