You are right--same old, same old---When it comes to covering WRs. W just cannot get secondary coverage that eliminates the successful 3rd and 10, 12, 15, 20 yd. plays. Been going on for years--some have tried to justify by calling it 'bend but not break"defense. I call it poor coverage skills.

Add that to the fact that our offense wastes 7-8 series a game without doing anything resembling the system of a "genius", special teams that are so bad that when we actually catch the ball and don't fumble it's considered a "huge improvement", and losses in bunches. I think you're a lot closer than you think to seeing a lot of empty seats at the stadium. I'd go so far as to say a lot of those fans were there because they thought this had the makings of a special season. A lot of them probably took the bowl game last season and the hot start of this season as a sign that we had finally emerged. Alas the "same ol', same ol' is Dana's teams shitting the bed at some point in the season.

Actually, the bedshitting came earlier this year. I really expected a win, because he gets one big one early then....the bottom falls out.....Scary thing now is all those Big ones coming up....7-5 would be a Dream.....6-6 or worse looks likely....Don't like Howard....think he isn't really a QB who would start anywhere else but maybe Kansas. Feeling like we are stuck though.....and I feel Bad for the D....Gave us some chances
