I hope this is not true and just a rumor, because that would truly suck. He was definitely the underclassman I was most excited about.

I think he might be worried about some of the new people coming in to. I liked him a lot. It is disappointing to see this.

Did he expect to come in and play 35 minutes a game as a freshman. Come on dude. I like the guy but some people's egos need a check

Unfortunately the egos are astronomical after AAU and all the recruiting promises by everyone. Completely different from the days when kids were just happy to have an expensive free college education and do whatever the team needed.

Kids like Pooh Williamson who played very few minutes his first two years here but was ALL-MVC after that.

Didn't see the normal well-wishes from his teammates that you usually see when a guy transfers out. Maybe I missed them

I remember my freshman year at college and I got very homesick and I was only 150 miles away. 1500 miles seems like a long way from home. I guess we’ll know more when we see where he lands.

I didn't get homesick my freshman year...of course I'm from Tulsa. I did get nostalgic about high school because it was a whole lot easier!

That's the diplomatic answer, but if you did a little deeper you will find out if he was "the man" at PG he would still be here.
Sure, there's no question that if he ended the season as the starter then there'd be a much higher chance that he didn't transfer.

I like Hill. Hate to lose talent like that. Shooting needs to improve. He gets a year to work on that. But after how Hill played in the Temple game, if you’re saying we have better guards, we are a legit tournament team.

I think you’re wrong tho. Hope the guards prove me wrong.

I don't like Hill transferring, however if the RS are as good as advertised he may have been recruited over. Time will tell! This does open up a scholly, I hope we use it to get a good big man. Maybe Haith has the inside on a grad transfer or a portal transfer.

Bigs are the NCAA key for next year. We have good ones we go, mediocre ones we stay at home and watch Houston, Memphis, and Cincinnati play..

I got it that people get homesick. That doesn’t mean being closer to home is the right move. I also do not have any sympathy for it either. You made a commitment. I got it that it’s just basketball but these are life lessons not basketball lessons.

And before anyone starts on the hating me bandwagon for what I said. I am a 17 year military medical retiree and I have had to deal with 17, 18, and 19 year old kids being away from home as I was homesick as well. So I have experience being away from home for a long period of time.

I hope Hill finds happiness, I enjoyed watching him play this year. We all make life changing/defining decisions at an age we have the least ability to make them intelligently. Some make better ones than others, some get lucky.

I wish him well and hope to see him playing on TV again someday.

Y'all I'm always worried when a kid like Hill transfers, because teams always need depth. We got lucky this year with health (aside from Brandon for a couple of games), and even when he was out our lack of depth was noticeable.

Hill was a true PG- and KES+ Joiner + Williams (fresh) are all combos- that's what has me upset. Posters constantly said how much smoother the offense was when Hill was in the game, and I fear we will lose that with him gone.

I'm with I.I. - Gendron's potential would be worth the scholly (can't see Chris's breakdown), so I hope that Gendron's place is secured for at least next season to see what he can bring.

I'm excited for the 4 newcomers, since they all (supposedly) can shoot and score- that's what was missing at times, especially during the non-conference season. So now getting a PG and another rebounding body (like Early) would benefit the team, imo.

I fully believe that...I groused that we had a fullback playing point instead of the two
where he belongs....Hill had very rare intuits to play the point, and they should have
been in the game together at clutch time....Haith has an almost weird bias toward
his upper classmen that sometimes doesn't serve him or the team very well...

It really doesn't do much good to cry over spilled milk now, but if we don't get a good
PG in this recruiting class, our prospects for 20-'21 are markedly changed.....

Hill was homesick and pushed in classwork I suspect. Yes he had some natural PG instincts and quick but also had some definite issues with outside scoring and occasional freshman ball handling issues. I will miss him but this is the easiest position to replace.

I think we are still okay here. Inside is where we need to worry. Earley is really good but he may be on the bench with 3 fouls at the under 16 mark the first half. He has to stop fouling.

Fresno State. He's now 110 miles from home instead of 1,450 miles.

Good for him, was true to his desire to be close to home. My eyes would have rolled if he ended up at Washington or KState or somewhere not in Cali, but with this move he will be closer to home- I get it.
