Just replayed the 2nd half. Coop and Howard did a great job. They will both be really good going forward. Hat's off to Cam sans the free throw shooting. Kael and Tate did very well handling the ball, and of course Bennett was himself. Alvaro putting together another solid outing. Overall, a nice team effort in the 2nd half, and glad to see Tavion seemingly getting along ok with whatever the injury issue was.

Just watched the game. While I haven't read the game thread yet...what a game. We shoot 60% and only have 4 turnovers against a very athletic team. The bench was outstanding. Also, despite having a certain ref on the court...this was probably the best officiated game I've seen this year regardless if Iowa was involved. Stirtz probably got away with one with around 5:30 left in the game and we might have gotten another later on but overall I thought it was excellent. Every other screen wasn't called a foul.
Im an old fart and I stayed up. Was thinking during the first half "why did I do this", then they started playing defense. Great second half all around.
Just looking at the boxscore, looks like the Benjustments were made at half. Such a welcome change. Lets goooooooo!!!!
You knew Washington wasn't going to shoot it like they did in the first half... almost impossible.
This was a very enjoyable game to watch with very little sloppy play on both sides.
If we could get 1 free point every time Banks hits the floor...we would be close to unbeatable. If he drives he goes down. If someone drives against him ..he goes down...he gets bumped he goes down. I've never seen somebody end up on the floor so much. I know he's dealing with some stuff but it's been all year.

If this guy can put a 4-5 year streak of these kind of cheap shots, he'll be mentioned with the great Brad Davison! (Sounds like this MSU player cheap shotted/tripped a Mich. player the game before as well.
I think Indiana fans, some already, will have buyers remorse. I could be wrong but I was pretty happy devries went to indiana. I thought ben was the superior candidate.
Kirk should talk to ben about using timeouts. Ben is a master of manipulating the game using time outs.

Cooper’s post game comments on BM’s strategy to take away their bigs in the first half made sense, it’s what the metrics dictated. But at half BM adjusted back to ball pressure and running them off the arc and it was the perfect adjustment. BAU. We got the right coach folks, luckily not that guy in Bloomington looking shell shocked and questioning his life choices.

3 turnovers.. I don't know if I've EVER seen an Iowa team turn it over that little in a game, and that's 40+ years of watching basketball. Spectacular!
I was ecstatic when Indiana announced that Devries was their guy. Who knows if Ben would have taken the Indiana job, but I was 100% sold that he was THE GUY for Iowa.

I thought it missed rim.. but the shot clock reset and Washington scored to make it 14-10. If it missed rim it would’ve been a shot clock violation.
Just woke up and rewatching on tv.. and I still can’t tell if it hit rim.
