The fumble on the punt should have been called catch interference on Iowa. He was touching the ISU player before the ball got there.

Iowa's QB is 6-9 for 17 yards. Some things never change. Iowa sucks.
Same old Iowa offense and defense, make the other team make mistakes so they lose the game. Kirk Ferentz will never change his game plan, his teams are not built to win championships, they are built to just stay in most games in the BIG. Bottom line they are a very boring team to watch.

This. O-lineman pulled the defender to the ground way after the play was over, then flopped when the guy breathed on him.
I’m confused. The Iowa punt returner was tackled at the 5. They got a hold. Half the distance should be the 2.5. Yet they’re at the 5?

Not taking anything away from ISU and its fans. But I suspect the Iowa QB has played at places like NDSU and Montana for his prior team. Those stadiums might be a little smaller. But they’re going to be every bit as crazy and electric as pretty much anywhere else.
As for transitioning up a level of competition, I think some might overemphasize the difference because they don’t factor in that he’s now got ten other FBS players surrounding him. It’s not like he’s playing ISU surrounded by DII players.

Iowa state is to Iowa what Iowa is to us. Late field goal losses. Not over yet but Iowa state always seems to get a late one to win vs Iowa.
