Interesting Sniper Shot

I read about this 2 days ago. Amazing doesn't describe it. I haven't seen the rifle used but I'm guessing it was a .338 Lapua or a Barrett hybrid. 10 second flight time? Just amazing considering the variables involved in making this shot.

I'm imagine there was no sound, no nothing. Guy drops dead from a bullet wound and his buddies wondering what in the world just happened.

There is plenty of sound, regardless of distance, they were likely already over him to see why he fell when they heard it.

Time of bullet travel was 10 seconds, time of sound travel is 10.3 seconds. The sound would not have been very loud at that distance but still noticeable, sort of difficult to connect the dots though.

Think about it...guy pulls the trigger....count to ten....target drops.
