Skinner was a leading candidate to replace Hill. I actually preferred him at the time over Rice because I felt we needed a guy who was a proven coach that get us back over 500. We could have avoided the whole Rice scandal, fallout and TP probably would still be here as AD. If Skinner failed we would probably at least been at a higher level for the next guy

Saw Skinner's team lose at FGCU last Saturday night. His team took some tough calls ... FGCU got some home cooking. Skinner was into it on the sideline. Truthfully, FGCU's head coach Joe Dooley is more likely to interview at Rutgers than Skinner. West Orange, NJ native. Dooley has pulled together an interesting roster at FGCU. And they play an interesting style. I'd guess they average about 80 points a game playing fast.
