"KD" "KB" "IQ" ..ect..ect! Do you know how many times a season I have to pull up the team roster to figure out who you people are talking about!? Are y'all too lazy to type a name? Does it make you feel like you are somehow closer to the player by using initials instead of names? Enough already. Now, let the countdown to butthurt begin over me saying "you people".

Whew! Feels good to vent sometimes.

People do it too much and if it isn't already common, people try too hard to nickname or give players initials, but if you don't know KD that's on you.

I can see how abbreviations are problem for you Mr Etcetera aka Mr should be Etc not Ect. :). Jk it’s an abbreviated acronym world we live in now. I spend half my day in the medical field trying to figure them out lol

I don't really follow the NBA at all so a 'KD tore an achilles' thread does make me think twice before I realize it's not UK, or even college basketball related at all. Not to mention, we have a KD on the football team that are his actual initials and not just a lazy first and last name combo.

And one of my pet peeves is using initials that are even wrong such as ect. ect! when it should be etc..etc! just saying

Closer to the player? I live 1,200 miles away and don’t know any of them. I post on my phone and it’s just a way to save a few key strokes. As another poster said, you’ll get used to it. But hey rant away. It does feel good sometimes.
