50/50 chance according to ESPN. So if our offense shows up we win and win big because our defense can stop their passing. Their running game doesn't scare me. Their passing can be deadly but our db's can stop them. Like I said our offense has to be "normal" and we win big! GBR

IU fan here. 50/50 sounds about right. Our running game has improved. Stevie Scott is a monster downhill. If Penix is healthy we should be able to throw the ball. He torched MSU on the road. Should be a good game.

We don’t play good games, so no.

"We" is a far too inclusive term ... it implies that the coaching staff might be a tiny bit responsible for the lackluster play rather than what we all know to be true .. it's all a result of the players' shortcomings

We are coming off a bye week. This will be Indiana’s second straight road game. We should win this or things are more deranged than suspected.

Except the coaches constantly take responsibility for the teams performance.

This could be the week where we see just how bad Frost & his staff are at coaching.

If we lose at home to Indiana, Frost had better get grilled by the media.

I think if AM plays we win, if not we lose. So I guess how bad of a coach Frost is depends on if AM can play.

And you say he better be grilled by the media. Or what? And how is that productive? And why would it make you happy?

depends if the player want to do the things it takes win or not, do they want to tackle? block? play smart? etc?

It’s going to be a dog fight. I think the home crowd helps... should be some good energy in the stands for the afternoon kick.

Funny thing about the past two games... zero turnovers! LOL who are these guys! It’s like they play best from behind.

Idk, I’m just frustrated & there’s no reason why an Indiana team should ever win in Lincoln.

Frost is getting too much of a pass imo. If this were Riley’s year 2, he’d be reserving the moving truck for Black Friday.

This is their coaches 3rd season. He was 5-7 the first two and those 17/18 classes were ranked 62/50. The game is at home, seriously don't want to hear how we don't have the skill level to compete

IU fan here... what is the news on AM? Hasn't your best WR (Spielman) also been out?

We lost our best OL a couple of games ago and have a true freshman at LT. Our senior center also missed the Maryland game. Our best QB is a RS Frosh- Penix, he missed 2 games earlier in the year and then left in the 2nd qtr against Maryland. He is a great passer but very injury prone. It is uncertain if he will play this week. Our backup QB is our starter from the last 2 years. A gutsy, good game manager, but not a strong arm.

The Maryland game was the kind of game that IU has lost time after time, very lucky to pull that one out with an INT to end the game.

IU now sits with 5 wins needing 1 win in the last 5 games...

@ Nebraska
vs. Northwestern
@ Penn State
vs. Michigan
@ Purdue

IU has gotten to 5 wins then lost their remaining games before, we play lots of young players, hoping for a good game and a sixth win, but it will be tough winning in Lincoln.

Our staff is very tight lipped with injuries, so we probably won’t know if AM will play until close to game time. Spielman has been banged up, but only missed a half of football. However, we are really banged up and depleted at the skill positions:

AM is questionable
Noah Vedral, our backup QB, is also banged up and questionable.
Wandale Robinson, our best offensive player, is out.
Mo Washington, our best RB, has been kicked off the team.

Thanks for the response! Who is behind Vedral? McCaffery?

Yep and then a walk on, Andrew Bunch.

I don't know squat about McCaffery except the spring game....."but" Ill be damned if he didn't look like TMart out there with truly insane acceleration. Haha.......wow, he can move! However, with our OLine he'll have to somehow gear it up yet another notch to survive.

The “cancer” this year?

Wouldn’t say cancer but maybe too many demons to overcome in the spotlight. Our Golden Boy offered every chance and support for him to make it but it wasn’t enough. He wasn’t much of a factor this year and is constantly hobbled. Do wish him well regardless if he stays or is indeed off the team.
