Indiana is 10-3
Indiana is 8-0 at home, 0-1 on the road and 2-2 in neutral site games. The Hoosiers only other true road game this year was at Duke where they lost by 20.
Indiana's best win is Notre Dame where they rallied from 15 down on a neutral site in Indianapolis.
7 of Indiana's wins this year were to cupcake city type programs...Kennesaw St, Morehead St, Eastern Illinois, Austin Peay, Alcorn St, IPFW, Mc Neese St
Indiana and RU have played 3 common opponents this season....RU lost to SJU by 2, Indiana beat them by 10, RU lost to Wake Forest by 1, Indiana lost to them by 4, RU lost to Creighton by 10, Indiana beat them by 21
Indiana has one of the best offenses in the country. They are 3rd in scoring average in the country at 89.1 ppg, 2nd in the country in fg% at 53.7%, 4th in the country in 3pt fg% at 45.1% and average 10.3 made 3s per game.
Indiana's biggest weakness is that they tend to turn the ball over a lot....14.5ppg which ranks 279 in the country. Also their defense is a weakness...a fg% defense at 43.4 which ranks 207 and is slightly worse than Rutgers
What this all means I don't know but while Indiana is a high scoring flashy team, they don't play defense and they don't take care of the ball and they don't play good on the road, they didn't last year either. RU would figure to have a shot to keep the game competitive and within reach, if they can play similar to how they did vs Monmouth and the 2nd half vs Lowell. If they bring the effort they did against GW or SHU the game has the potential to really get out of hand and we are looking at another 25 point plus loss. Let's hope that the game last night gives them some confidence and they come out with juice early opening conference play.
