Northwestern dominating OT!

Winning on the road in the B1G is a tough task. Illinois beat NW by 30 in Champaign a few weeks ago.

2 excellent teams in a down year for the league
Northwestern not excellent. Decent team winning a lot of close games... reminds me of those Providence teams. Buie is a big help at the end of games so it's not all variance, but still.

They are an enigma. Chicago State may haunt them a little or hurt their seeding? They lost to Mississippi State just like us. Having watched quite a few of their games they seem very good at times.

It’ll be interesting. Beating Illinois was a nice w.

Right now it looks like only 5 sure B1G schools in the Big Dance. Purdue, Wiscy, Illinois and NW and I think Nebraska.

Will somebody get hot out of Indy, OSU, and MSU. My guess is MSU improves.
Maryland playing better.

We picked an unfortunate year to lose Cam and Paul. Could have been a player.

Easiest bet is MSU gets it together and makes the tournament. Talent + Izzo

I think peeps arent paying attention to the parity in the top 25. Northwestern take away there Chicago St loss is top 25. They have wins over 2 of the top 3 schools in the conference

Northwestern isn’t nearly one of the 25 best teams.

If we had lost to Stonehill what would you say to a poster on this board if they wanted to “take away the Stonehill loss”?

Really? Have you seen how phony the net looks this year

This is a top 25 ranked team inthe AP if they didnt lose that game

I haven’t looked at the NET to be honest. They are #57 in Kenpom. I don’t care about the AP and also they *did* lose that game.

Down relative to WHAT? The Big Ten has a bunch of solid teams that aren’t top 25 level. Northwestern is one of them.

6 ncaa teams top
# of NCAA teams isn’t a particularly good metric imo but even so six isn’t exactly terrible. That’s almost half the conference.

The bottom of the conference is in the conference too and I would take the bottom two in the Big Ten over the bottom two from any other conference including the Big 12.

The Big Ten is a solid upper level power conference, second best, much closer to third than first. This is basically the same as usual.
