Illinois - 10

I do not see them scoring 2 TD's on our Defense and definitely not 3 or more scoring drives. The only way they get to 20 is if we do it to ourselves

They have a very good FG kicker that has a strong leg and accurate..

33-13 Huskers!

Offense repeats history and jumps out comfortably in the first half & Defense gets another Safety in this one... ILL points come in Q3/Q4 when backups are in again

was wondering if Illinois was better this year or there opponents this year are just worse. they were 1-2 at this point last year, but they opened up against Toledo, a much better Kansas team, and #7 Penn State.

here's who they've played:

Eastern Illinois - an FCS team whose only win is against Indiana State, who went 1-10 last year

Kansas - currently sitting at 1-2, only win is against an FCS team. Kansas' QB looked like Jeff Sims, terrible decisions forcing balls. Illinois defense looked uncomfortable when he got out of the pocket and threw. Illinois offense only scored a single TD, and that was with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Central Michigan - another 1-2 team who has only beaten an FCS team. The week before playing Illinois, Central Michigan lost to FIU 52-16. I think its safe to say they aren't very good.

Not buy that Illinois is worthy of being a ranked team. They've punished terrible QB play, hopefully there will be none of that come Friday.

I believe Nebraska will play all 4 quarters this game offensively and throttle the Illini! I think Rhule shows the first B1G 10 opponent that Nebraska has arrived!

63-13.

I've always wondered why Illinois never caught fire in football like Ohio State and Michigan. No shortage of talent in that state, over the decades they really should have been more of a powerhouse like the other two, not that they're lousy historically, guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Illinois ranked, Rutgers and Indiana aren’t. Just wondering, why do you think that?
Don’t believe Illinois should be ranked just because they beat KU, haven’t seen enough of Rutgers yet but Indiana has a very potent offense and might be ranked when we play them October 19th..

Ruhle has called everything so far preseason. Now we see starters playing deep into the 3rd while up comfortably.
HH has a TD throwing and catching.

Rutgers is untested. Va Tech on Saturday will tell us more
